First-Aid Kit Philosophy:

Level 1 and Level 2 First-Aid Kits:

A Level I kit has an emphasis on stopping blood loss, disinfecting wounds, minor pain stoppage, and bandage exchange and is geared towards Every Day Carry (EDC) and as such is aimed to be lightweight and has an emphasis on portability.  These may include “Boo-Boo Kits” and Individual First-Aid Kits (IFAK).

A Level II kit is more geared towards medium emergencies such as severe blood loss, wound dressing and is more suitable in situations where you travel in a group or where size, portability and weight are less important. As such these kits are not geared towards EDC.
