Go-to boxes are intended as “resupply” kits containing basic survival and fighting gear. They are intended to resupply consumable items that might be used up in a defensive situation so that you can keep weapons and lights running, and to plug any holes that you didn’t have when the fighting started. Metal military .50 caliber ammunition cans make perfect go-to boxes.
